Conducting a Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the same picture in a report by NDTV, dated September 19, 2023. The report confirms that Virat and Anushka had, indeed, installed a Ganpati idol in their home for Ganesh Chaturthi and shared the celebration on social media.
Further investigation led us to Anushka Sharma’s official Instagram account, where the viral photos were posted on September 19, 2023. The caption and images confirm that the couple celebrated the festival at their home.
