A dramatic video showing a violent storm is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim that it is the aftermath of a deadly earthquake in Delhi on April 7, 2025. It’s also claimed that the alleged disaster killed 98,000 people, leaving thousands injured.

Putting the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the same clip on YouTube, dated July 20, 2023. According to the YouTube video, the visuals show a storm in Zagreb, Croatia.
We also found the viral video posted on X on July 20, 2023. As per the post, the visuals depict a severe storm wreaking havoc in Zagreb, Croatia.

Although we could not identify the original source of the video, it is confirmed that the footage clearly predates the claim made in the viral post. And there is no credible news or articles confirming any such earthquake in Delhi on April 7, 2025.
Thus, we can conclusively say that a 2023 video from Croatia has gone viral falsely claiming that it is a deadly earthquake in Delhi with heavy casualties.
