NewsMobile fack-checked the claim, and found it to be false.
Performing a Reverse Image Search of the viral video keyframes, the NM team detected a Facebook post, dated September 1, 2023, sharing visuals identical with the viral video. The post was uploaded by Fahmi Gulandaz Babel, a leader from Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League party and a former Member of Parliament.
As per the caption (in Bengali👇), these images are from a rally organised by the Bangladesh Chhatra League (the student wing of the Awami League) in Gafargaon Upazila. The rally was dedicated to the founder of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and his wife, Begum Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. This makes it clear that the video was taken in 2023.
A similar image on the Instagram handle of Awami League leader and former MP Sheikh Tanmay describes that it is from a rally organised by the Bangladesh Chhatra League. Sheikh Tanmay also mentioned in the post that the then PM Hasina was the chief guest at this student gathering. The post was made on September 2, 2023.

Additionally, we found a circular issued by the Bangladesh Chhatra League on a Bangla Facebook page. In the circular, they have thanked the league’s leaders and members for making the rally a success. It also mentioned an event held at Suhrawardy Udyan, where Sheikh Hasina was present as the chief guest.
The viral video had also been uploaded on Youtube, dated September 2, 2023, with a description: “Under the leadership of beloved leader Fahmi Golandaz Babel MP, Gafargaon Upazila Upazila Chhatra League once again shook the streets of Dhaka and created history. Big procession of Gafargaon Upazila Chhatra League of Mymensingh today in Suhrawardy Udyan Chhatra League rally.”
Thus, it is confirmed that the video in question is from 2023, and NOT related to the recent protest in Bangladesh.
