One of the Facebook posts reads: “पेपर लिक, राम मंदिर लिक, ट्रेन लिक, एयरपोर्ट लिक.. सरकारी भवन लिक, सरकारी ऑफिस लिक, की शानदार सफल बम्पर उपलब्धि के बाद अब एयरप्लेन लिक…” (English translation: Paper leak, Ram temple leak, train leak, airport leak… After the grand success of leaks in government buildings and offices, now aeroplane leak…)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, and found it to be misleading.
Using the InVid Tool to analyse the video and extract several keyframes, the NM team detected an X post by the official Pune Pulse channel, dated December 1, 2023, with a caption: “Water drips from overhead bins in Air India flight; The Airline releases statement soon after #AirIndia #leakageinfilght.”

With a customised keyword search on Google, our team found a report by The Times of India, dated December 1, 2023, with a title: “Shocking video of water leakage on Air India flight goes viral.”

According to the report, Air India flight AI169, operating from Gatwick to Amritsar on November 24, experienced a rare condensation adjustment issue inside the cabin. An Air India spokesperson clarified, “Some of our guests seated in the affected rows were promptly relocated to other vacant seats. Given the circumstances, the cabin crew made every effort to ensure the guests’ comfort. Air India is committed to the safety and comfort of its guests, and we regret this unexpected incident.”
Thus, we can conclude that an old video from November 2023 has been shared on social media with a misleading claim, suggesting that it is a recent incident.
