In the clip, Ambani appears to endorse a miracle remedy, claiming that a simple fruit can “reset your pancreas” and eliminate the need for medication like Metformin.

Conducting a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team traced the original footage to Reliance Updates — the official YouTube channel of Reliance Industries. The authentic video, dated December 15, 2020, features a virtual discussion between Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Mukesh Ambani.
Around the 4-minute mark — the same segment used in the viral clip — Ambani can be seen speaking, but he talks about the role of digital transformation in India during the Covid-19 pandemic. He did not say anything about diabetes in the entire video.
The description accompanying the video reads: “Shri Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited and Shri Mark Zuckerberg, Chairman and CEO of Facebook shared their excitement about India and how digital can accelerate economic progress.”
The visuals in both videos are identical, confirming that the viral clip has been altered. The manipulated version overlays AI-generated audio to spread misleading health claims.
