Running a Reverse Image Search on the video keyframes, the NM team found a report by The Times of India, dated June 11, 2024, with a title: “Asked to pay: Man uses bulldozer to demolish toll booth on Delhi-Lucknow highway.”
The TOI report confirmed that a man used the bulldozer to demolish two toll booths on the Delhi-Lucknow highway in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, after he was asked to pay the toll. The report also included a video statement by the Hapur Police official, saying that a case has been registered in the matter.
We also found a post on the Hapur Police’s X account announcing that the police teams from Pilkhuwa police station and Garhmukteshwar police station took joint action and arrested the JCB driver.
The post included a picture of the arrested individual along with a press note identifying the accused as “Dheeraj”, NOT Mohammad Sajid Ali.
