In the recent 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party won 37 seats, becoming the largest single party in the state. Whereas, BJP saw a steep decline, winning only 33 seats compared to 63 in 2019.
Against this backdrop, a video of UP CM Yogi Adityanath is being widely shared on social media, claiming that it was shot after the results of 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In the viral clip, he could be seen saying: “Muslims have the first right to the resources of our country. Are you trying to divide the country in the name of minority and majority?”

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile found the claim to be false.
Analyzing the viral clip closely, the NM team noticed the logo of Rajasthan Patrika on the top right corner, and an ANI microphone in the video. A Reverse Image Search led us to the original video on Rajasthan Patrika TV‘s YouTube channel, titled “Loksabha Election 2024: CM Yogi का Congress पर निशाना,’आप देश को बांटना चाहते हैं’ । CM Yogi । BJP । Congress । Loksabha Election”, dated April 23, 2024. We also found an extended version on ANI’s YouTube channel on the same date.
In the video, countering the Congress party, Yogi says: “Muslims have the first right to the country’s wealth.” He further questions the Congress, asking, “Are you trying to divide the country in the name of minority and majority, Muslim and non-Muslim?”
Additionally, UP CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted the video on his official X handle on April 23, 2024.

Hence, it is clear that the viral video has been presented as if he is endorsing the statement, rather than contradicting it.
