FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the posts and found them to be misleading.
We ran a search and found multiple reports stating that though there would be restrictions in certain parts of Delhi, the entire territory would not be under lockdown. The reports can be seen here and here.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Delhi Police clarified that only the area of NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Council) will have some restrictions.
They also put out a video, explaining the restriction so as to avoid confusion. The video clarified that essential service shops will remain open in all areas, only the Supreme Court Metro station will be closed for some time, and the rest metro will function as usual.
