FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.
We checked Pawan Singh’s official Twitter handle and found a tweet from June 1, 2024, where he clarifies that the viral post is fake as he has not announced support for any party.

The viral screenshot includes a poster with Pawan Singh’s picture and a message supporting the BJP. At the bottom, it mentions pressing the ‘Gas Cylinder’ button, the symbol of Upendra Kushwaha’s party, Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Running through a Reverse Image Search of this photo, the NM team found a post on Pawan Singh’s official Facebook account, dated May 30, 2024. In the original picture, the message urges people to vote for Pawan Singh and to press the button for his election symbol, scissors.

Comparing between the viral and original image, it is confirmed that the viral photo has been doctored. Additionally, the viral tweet has an unusual blank space on the left side of the text, which is not typical of actual tweets where the text starts directly below the user’s name. This discrepancy further suggests that the viral tweet is not genuine. Thus, it is evident from the above information that the viral screenshot is fake.
