FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found that the same video was uploaded by PeakPx HD with the caption that read, “Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29S Fulcrum (925), Eject, Fulcrum, Russian, Mikoyan-Gurevich, MiG-29S, HD wallpaper.”
Another website, Air Team Images also uploaded the same image. The website mentioned that the photograph was clicked on July 24, 1993. The description associated with the image read, “The first of a sequence of photos of the mid air collision between two Russian Mig 29s. No one was killed or seriously injured in the incident. The pilot can be seen ejecting.”
Hence, an old image of 1993 is being widely shared with a fake claim that its shows Ukraine shooting down a Russian jet.
