Many social media users are sharing a photo of Bollywood actor-comedian Tiku Talsania in Islamic attire. The image is being shared with a claim that he has converted to Islam.
A Facebook user shared the image with the caption: “इंडिया के मशहूर कॉमेडीयन टिकु तलसानिया डाइरा ने #इस्लाम धर्म मे दाखिल हो गए.” (English translation, “India’s prominent comedian Tiku Talsania Daira converted into Islam.”)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On searching Google with the keyword, Tiku converting to Islam, we could not find any media reports corroborating the viral claim.
We also found a verified YouTube video published on February 6, 2022, with a title that read, “Tiku Talsania With Topi and Beard Looking So Happy On His Upcoming Drama Serial.”
Another website ShowBiz also suggested that Tiku Talsania has not converted to Islam and the image being shared is from an upcoming drama or movie.
In a conversation with India Today, he confirmed that he has not converted to Islam. He also informed that the viral image is from an upcoming BBC drama in which he is playing the role of an impersonator and in one of the episodes he is a Muslim.
Hence, we can conclude that the viral image is being shared with a false claim.
