At first glance, the video seems authentic. However, upon closely observing the video frame-by-frame, the NM team noticed discrepancies in the lip sync.
Putting the viral video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, we discovered the original video on the official YouTube channel — Janice Sequeira, dated December 18, 2023, with over 450K subscribers.
On comparing both videos, our team came to know that the viral clip was extracted from Abhishek Sharma’s December 18, 2023 podcast. However, the words spoken by Sharma in his voice in the viral clip were superimposed using editing tools.
Nowhere in the entire podcast, Abhishek has made any purported statement. Thus, it can be affirmed that the video in question is digitally altered.
