On clicking the link attached to the post, it redirected to a suspicious domain — http://reedeemrc2.site/ — which is not the official website of the Prime Minister (https://www.narendramodi.in/) or any government body. The use of an unofficial URL itself raises red flags about the offer’s legitimacy.
A Google keyword search by the NM team found no credible news reports to support the claim. We also checked the official websites and verified social media handles of the Central government, but came across no announcement of any such free recharge scheme.
