A viral post on Facebook claims that as part of this boycott movement, Coca-Cola has been compelled to alter its appearance. The image accompanying the post purportedly shows a yellow bottle instead of Coca-Cola’s traditional red bottle.
The text embedded in the image reads: “Boycott in such a way that they are forced to change their form. Allah Ta’ala did not let even our little efforts fail, Alhamdulillah”.

Doing a simple Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the stock image website Alamy carrying the same viral picture. The description on the website indicates that the yellow-coloured bottles are, in fact, Sugar-Free Lemon Flavour Coca-Cola. And the photo was taken on September 22, 2021, in Rome. This suggests that the image is not related to any recent changes in response to the boycott trend but rather represents a specific Coca-Cola product variant.
Searching further, we found information on the official Coca-Cola website, indicating that the Sugar-Free Lemon Flavour Coca-Cola was initially introduced in Italy in 2017. This historical context supports the notion that the yellow bottles seen in the circulated image are not a recent change or response to any boycott trend but rather represent a product variant that has been available for several years.
Had Coca-Cola changed its packaging, the mainstream media would have covered it. We could not find any credible media report corroborating the viral claim. Thus, it is clear that the viral claim is fabricated.
