Ahead of the India-Australia ODI series, an image featuring Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is widely circulating on social media. Many users claim it shows Hazlewood welcoming Kohli to Australia.

NewsMobile fact-checked the claim and found it to be False.
Putting the image through Reverse Image Search, the NM team found no official or credible reports featuring it. Virat Kohli’s official accounts have also not posted the viral image.
But on closer inspection, the facial structures of both players appeared to be unnatural. Verifying the image through Hive Moderation, an AI-based content detection tool, we got it confirmed that it’s AI-generated.
Thus, it is evident that the image claiming to show Hazlewood welcoming Kohli to Australia is AI-generated.
