NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the original image in The Times of Israel report, dated March 9, 2020, with a title: “In call with Euro heads on virus, Netanyahu proposes ‘safe air hubs’ at airports.”
As per the report, the image shows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking to European leaders during a videoconference at the foreign ministry in Jerusalem. Netanyahu was discussing efforts to promote better regional coordination in the fight against coronavirus.
We compared both the images and found them to be identical, except for the part showing the Hezbollah leader. In the original image, Netanyahu is seen engaging in a videoconference with European leaders, while the manipulated version falsely depicts him watching a speech by Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah.
Thus, it is confirmed that the image, claiming that Israeli PM Netanyahu watching Hezbollah Secretary-General Nasrallah’s speech, has been MANIPULATED.
