The same Facebook user also made a reel, which was liked by 36.4K.
Soon, the post was shared by others on their Facebook timeline.

NewsMobile fact-checked the picture in question and found it to be AI-generated.
Firstly, if there was any such interaction, Virat Kohli would have shared it on his social media accounts. But there was no update from King Kohli.
Secondly, The Champions Trophy jersey was completely different to what Kohli is wearing in the image.
Thirdly, if you take a closer look at the image you will realise that it has been digitally manipulated. Kohli has some extra fingers on his left hand while Mona has a few fingers less on her right hand.
The logos on Kohli’s jerseys are not clear and unreadable.
Lastly, running the image through Hive Moderation and Verifye, AI detection tools, we found it to be AI-generated.
