After India’s counter-terror operation, Operation Sindoor, an infographic allegedly from CNN began circulating extensively on social media, claiming that India suffered greater losses of soldiers, tanks, fighter jets, drones, and air defence systems than Pakistan. FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral infographic and found it to be Misleading.

Searching with relevant keywords to verify the authenticity of the graphic, the NM team could not find any such infographic on CNN’s official website or any of its verified social media channels.

Moreover, the Indian government’s official communication arm — Press Information Bureau (PIB) — has flagged the viral graphic as fabricated.

The misinformation surfaced shortly after India launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation to a terror attack in Pahalgam. According to official statements, the Indian military struck nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). These targets were carefully selected and confirmed by the Indian government in its official communication.

So in conclusion, we can say that the viral infographic is fictitiously attributed to CNN.
