Many users claim that he promised compensation to the families of those who died. Some people say that the Congress leader is offering ₹1 crore to the families of terrorists killed by the Indian Armed Forces. They claim this shows the real intentions of the Congress party.
A Facebook user posted the viral post (Archive link) with the following caption: SHOCKING:: #Congress exposed again!! NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
The NM team noticed the logo of Republic World on the top left corner of the video. Searching further with relevant keywords, we identified a YouTube video on the official channel of Republic World, dated December 26, 2018. Here, the Congress leader was making the alleged statement.
We also came across the same comments made by Khan on the official channel of ABP News as well. This confirms that the comments are old and have no relation to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post is misleading.
