The claim in Hindi reads: “जम्मू कश्मीर में भारतीय सेना को मिली 2500 बुलेटप्रूफ स्कॉर्पियो सेना को बहुत बधाई और देश देश के आकाओं का आभार जिन्होंने माँ भारती के लाड़लो के बारे में इतना सोचा बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद आपका”

Searching with relevant keywords, the NM team identified an Amar Ujala article, dated November 11, 2019, confirming that the bulletproof Scorpio vehicles were provided to Jammu and Kashmir Police officers. Nowhere it has mentioned about the Indian Army receiving these vehicles, nor it has specified the number of cars that were provided.
Another article on an automotive website, dated April 1, 2012, clarifies that the image depicts a Mahindra Rakshak Plus vehicle showcased at the 2012 Defense Expo.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the viral claim about the Indian Army receiving 2,500 bulletproof Scorpio in Jammu and Kashmir is false.
