Following India’s win over Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match, in which Virat Kohli emerged as the Man of the Match after he scored an unbeaten century, a picture has gone viral on social media suggesting that actress Anushka Sharma touched her husband Virat Kohli’ feet.
The picture is shared with a caption: “Anushka Sharma Touch Virat Kohli Feet after India Win vs Pak😮😮”

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral image, and found it to be digitally altered.
Running the viral picture through Reverse Image Search, NewsMobile did not find any credible reports featuring the viral picture of Anushka touching Virat’s feet.
Analysing the full match stream on Jio Hotstar to uncover the truth, we found at the 8:16 hour timestamp the exact frame where Virat Kohli was standing in the same posture. But there was no sign of Anushka Sharma in the original footage.
This image was taken during the post-match presentation ceremony, where Kohli was receiving the Man of the Match award from Imran Khwaja, Deputy Chairman of the ICC.
A closer look at the two images confirms that Anushka’s figure was superimposed onto the original frame, replacing Imran Khwaja using the photo-editing software.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the viral picture is digitally manipulated.
