According to a TOI report, dated December 26, 2022, a severe traffic jam was seen on the Manali highway after thousands of tourists flocked to the major tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The report also mentioned that more than 20,000 tourists entered Lahaul valley on the weekend (December 24-25) through the Atal tunnel, with 10,519 vehicles crossing it in 24 hours.
In the above context, a picture of a traffic jam is being circulated on social media claiming that it is a recent picture of the heavy traffic in Manali.

Putting the image through a Reverse Image Search, we found the same image uploaded by an Instagram user Yash Handa, dated January 27, 2022, geotagging to Manali. Recently, he also mentioned that the picture was clicked by him on January 2, 2022.
On searching further, we found a similar picture taken from a different angle on his profile on January 29, 2022.
Hence, from the above fact check, it is clear that the picture is old.
