In the above context, an image collage of Lalu Prasad has gone viral on social media. In one of the image he was seen sitting on the wheelchair, while in the other he was seen was seen standing at a beach with his daughter, Misa Bharti. The image was shared with a caption claiming that while in Bihar he was on wheelchair, but the moment he went out of India, he was completely fine. The caption hints that he was pretending to be ill.
The image is shared with a caption that reads, “जेल जाने के डर से बिहार में व्हील चेयर पर चलने वाला सिंगापुर पहुंचते ही बीच पर टहल रहा है.” (English translation, “Wheel chair in Bihar due to fear of going to jail. Taking a walk on the beach as soon as you reach Singapore.”)

NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be misleading.
On searching with appropriate keywords, we found the same image was published by NDTV on September 10, 2018. The report associated with the image read, “RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is suffering from depression, director of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) R K Shrivastava said.”
We further found the same image was published by The Tribune on May 11, 2018, with a report that reads, “RJD chief Lalu Prasad arrived in Patna after being granted three-day parole to attend his son’s wedding.”
The other image of Lalu Yadav on beach was published by ABP News on October 12, 2022. The image showed him having a lighter moment in Singapore with his daughter Misa Bharti.
In other image published by ABP he was seen sitting on wheelchair at Singapore airport.
Hence, we can ascertain that the viral claim is misleading.
