FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the claim and found it to be Misleading.
A thorough keyword search across credible news platforms revealed no reports of a recent Army-led counter-operation matching the visuals in the viral video. Moreover, running the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, we detected the watermark — SRK Films — in the footage. Searching further, we identified the original video, uploaded on the Facebook page of SRK Films, dated February 21, 2025, well before the Pahalgam incident.
As per its description, the video shows a mock security drill conducted by the Anantnag Police and CRPF at the Bijbehara Railway Station in Jammu and Kashmir.
Similar reports on the YouTube channels of Excelsior News and Kashmir News Service have also confirmed the drill’s purpose and date.
So in conclusion, we can say the viral video showing the Indian Army operation is a mock drill held in Anantnag well before the Pahalgam terror attack.
