Amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, a video has gone viral on social media platforms showing a tall building collapsing with a claim that the building housed the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense which collapsed due to Russian missiles.
A Facebook user shared the video with a caption saying, “*Three missiles, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense building was instantly razed to the ground.* Before the Russian troops launched the missile, they did two strange things:1. Notify foreign reporters to shoot nearby 2. Notify all people in the building to evacuate.The missile accurately blasted the ground floor and caused the building to collapse, and finally shot the middle*Not an indiscriminate shooting, it is purely to shock Ukraine!*

With the help of Reverse Image Search, we found the same video on Twitter uploaded by ABC News on May 14, 2021. “Video shows the moment an Israeli airstrike hit and leveled the 14-story Al-Shorouk Tower in Gaza amid an escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas,” reads the caption.
Several users have shared the video since May 2014.

Moreover, we did not find any credible report stating that Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense building has collapsed due to Russian missile attack till the time of writing this article. However, on February 24, 2022, there were reports of black smoke rising over the Ukrainian Defense Ministry intelligence headquarters in central Kyiv.
