Following recent reports of violence in Murshidabad, West Bengal, a video showing a large procession is circulating on social media, with claims that it shows Bajrang Dal members from Rajasthan arriving in the state.
The caption with the video reads: “Rajasthan Bajrang Dal has reached West Bengal – even in the dark night, the light of Dharma Shine Bright!”

FACT CHECKÂ
NewsMobile investigated the claim and found it to be misleading.
Using keyframes from the viral video, NewsMobile’s fact-check team conducted a Reverse Image Search and traced the same footage to multiple social media posts dated February 2025 — well before the recent controversy involving Ramji Lal Suman, which surfaced on March 21.
A longer version of the video was posted on Instagram on February 17, with Marathi captions indicating that the event took place in Sangli, Maharashtra, specifically from Mayakka Chinchani to Sangalwadi. In the extended clip, participants are even seen riding traditional horse-drawn carts, adding further local context.

Additionally, more footage from the same event was uploaded by another user, Shreyas Angadi, reaffirming the location and date of the celebration.

Further, a report by The Times of India on February 19, 2025 confirmed that the bike rally took place in Sangli, where over 200 bikers participated in a local religious procession. The report also noted that police had to intervene and use a lathicharge after parts of the rally caused public disruption.
In conclusion, the viral video does not show Bajrang Dal members arriving in West Bengal. It is old footage from a religious procession held in Sangli, Maharashtra, in February 2025, and is being shared out of context to spread misleading narratives.
