A video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann saying he doesn’t know who is running the state government is being circulated on social media. The video started making rounds on social media after Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann took the oath as the Punjab Chief Minister on March 16, 2022.
Facebook users are sharing the video with the Punjabi caption, “ਇੱਧਰ ਬਦਲਾਵ ਬੌੰਦਲ ਗਿਆਸਵਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਆਪ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ.”

In the video, he can be heard saying, “I don’t know who they wanted to satisfy by doing this. But we are unable to understand who is actually running the government! The government’s scenario is like a bus without a driver which can crash any moment.”

We ran a search and found the original video of the press conference on the YouTube channel of Bhagwat Mann. The video premiered on his YouTube channel on December 17, 2021.
In the original video at 12:46 min, a journalist can be heard asking Mann “who is running the Punjab Congress government in the state – Navjot Singh Siddhu or then Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi”.
Replying to his question, Mann said, “If you get to know the answer, please let me know. No one has a clue as to who’s actually running the government. The government’s scenario is like a bus without a driver which can crash at any moment…Now Congress has given up all hopes.”
Hence, from the above information, it is evident that the video is old and Mann was talking about the then ruling Congress party and NOT AAP.
