A video showing a massive explosion is being widely shared on social media, with users claiming that it is a recent LPG cylinder blast in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Putting the video keyframes through Reverse image Search, the NM team found a video report by Global News, dated August 8, 2020, with a headline: “Beirut explosion: Video shows new angle of the massive blast”, which carries the same viral footage. According to the report, on August 8, 2020 a massive explosion in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, killed more than 137 people and injured thousands.
Further, we found another video report featuring the same footage. The report confirmed that the footage depicts the Beirut explosion in Lebanon.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the video, claiming to show an LPG cylinder blast in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is fabricated. In fact, the viral footage is from Lebanon’s Beirut.
