A video of Pakistani cricketer Haris Rauf involved in a verbal altercation with a fan in Florida has gone viral on social media. Many users allege that the fan involved in verbal spat is an Indian.
In the viral video, Rauf is seen walking with his wife when a fan angrily passes a comment, provoking Rauf. He nearly attacked the fan but was restrained by his wife and others present at the scene. While Rauf appeared agitated, the fan also did not back down from the argument.

Analysing the viral video carefully, it appears that the argument started when the fan allegedly asked for a photo. During the verbal exchange, Rauf remarked: “Indian hoga (You must be an Indian)”, to which the fan responded, “Nahi, Pakistani hoon (No, I am Pakistani)”.
According to the ABP Live report, Haris Rauf confronted the fan, assuming the fan might be an Indian and initiated the altercation. However, the fan revealed that he was actually a Pakistani and had only wanted a picture with the bowler.
A subsequent media report from the Hindustan Times confirms that the fan featured in the viral video is a Pakistani, not Indian.

Rauf has also issued a clarification on his social media account, stating that the fan had criticised his family and parents.
“I initially chose not to address this on social media, but now that the video has surfaced, I feel it’s necessary to clarify the situation. As public figures, we are open to all kinds of feedback from the public, and they have the right to support or criticise us. However, when it involves my parents and family, I will not hesitate to respond. Respect towards people and their families, regardless of their professions, is essential,” he tweeted.
Hence, it is evident that the fan involved in a verbal altercation with Pakistani cricketer Haris Rauf is a Pakistani, NOT Indian.
