Doing a Reverse Image Search, our team spotted a Twitter handle carrying the same viral image, dated October 4, 2015, with a caption: “Palestinian journalist Hana Hammad continues work after being injured by Israeli forces in Jerusalem”.
According to a report by The Guardian on October 5, 2015, Hanna Mahameed, employed by the Lebanese-based Al-Mayadeen TV, was reportedly struck by a projectile grenade fired by Israeli police on October 4, 2015. The footage captured Mahameed in visible distress, with her protective jacket being torn off after the impact. She was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment of facial burns.
