A Reverse Image Search of the visual did not yield any credible news report. Neither the actor’s official social media handles shared this image, nor is this a part of any PR event.
A detailed analysis of the image reveals several AI-generated hallmarks: Unnatural facial features and distorted expressions, inconsistent lighting and shadows, texture anomalies in the background and blending glitches, especially around the hair and eyes.
Running the image through AI detection tools — Hive Moderation and WasItAI — we found the image to be likely digitally created.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral visual showing Preity Zinta playing cricket is not real but AI-generated.
