Upon closely examining the video, we observed the hashtag #CWC2023 in the background, which was associated with the 2023 ICC World Cup. Additionally, the 2023 World Cup logo was visible on the players’ jerseys.
A keyword search led NewsMobile to the official YouTube channel of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which carries a video uploaded on November 21, 2023. The video captures PM Modi meeting the players after India’s loss in the 2023 World Cup Final on November 19, 2023.
Many media outlets also confirmed that PM Modi met and consoled the Indian cricket team following their defeat in the 2023 final. (These reports can be seen here, here and here)
Therefore, it is confirmed that the video in question is of 2023 World Cup Final, NOT Champions Trophy 2025 as claimed.
