FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral claim and found it to be misleading.
We began our investigation with a reverse image and keyword search using keyframes from the viral video. Multiple credible news reports confirmed that the incident occurred on June 26, 2025, near Shankarpalli in Telangana’s Rangareddy district.
According to these reports, the woman was identified as Vomika Soni, a 34-year-old and not Muslim, as claimed.
She allegedly drove her car along railway tracks for nearly 7 kilometres, disrupting the Hyderabad–Bengaluru train services for almost an hour. Reports further note that she brandished an iron rod, pelted stones, and resisted arrest, while reportedly under the influence of alcohol. She was later arrested by Telangana Police and handed over to the Railway Police, who booked her for trespassing and damaging public property.
