A video circulating on social media claims to show the shooter responsible for the murder of politician Baba Siddique speaking to media while in police custody. In the video, the man accuses Siddique of illegal activities, stating: “Baba Siddique was not a good man” and alleging connections to Dawood with a case registered under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act).
The video is shared on Facebook with a caption: “Baba Siddique sh@oter made a Press Conference under Mumbai Police custody & Justified his act Said, that Baba Siddiqui was not a good person, hence he deserved to Die Pls close the Police Dept & all Courts, now onwards Lawrence Bishnoi Gang will take care of Law & Order”.

Upon investigation, the video was traced back to a post shared by News24 on its X account, revealing that the individual in the video is actually Yogesh, also known as Raju, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba gang. Yogesh is currently under arrest for his involvement in the murder of gym owner Nadir Shah in Delhi.

Yogesh was apprehended by Delhi Police’s Special Cell after a search operation in Mathura on October 16, 2024. He was injured during an encounter while attempting to flee and later arrested. Weapons, ammunition, and a stolen motorcycle were recovered at the scene.

Meanwhile, investigations into the Baba Siddique murder case has led to the arrest of several suspects, but Yogesh Kumar has no connection to the case. Police have detained five individuals believed to have supplied weapons and provided logistical support to the main suspects, including two shooters already in custody.
Thus, it is confirmed that the man seen in the viral video is not connected to the murder of Baba Siddique, but is under arrest for a separate case involving the Bishnoi gang.
