A Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, NewsMobile traced the unedited version of the viral clip on Raina’s official Instagram account, originally posted on June 17, 2024.

In the original video, Raina was actually discussing the second season of the House of the Dragon. A closer analysis of both videos revealed that the viral clip was selectively edited — references to House of the Dragon and the Jio Cinema app were deliberately cropped out to fit a different narrative.
Meantime, on February 12, 2025, Samay Raina issued a statement on the controversy, confirming that he has taken down all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel.
