FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, and found it to be false.
The NM team conducted a Reverse Image Search of the viral video keyframes, but did not find any credible news reports/articles supporting the claim. Additionally, a Google search with relevant keywords, like metro accidents/ Gurugram, yielded no results.
However, a closer look at the viral video revealed several inconsistencies. The people visible on the tracks and within the station appeared disfigured — a common characteristic of AI-generated visuals. And analysing the video keyframes through Verifye and Hive Moderation — AI detection tools — we found the video and its contents were AI-generated.
Thus, it is confirmed that the viral video does not show a real metro accident in Gurugram. It has been digitally created.
