More than 12,000 buildings have been destroyed, and 25 lives lost in the devastating fire in Los Angeles, the US. Amid this tragedy, a video showing hundreds of people walking along a road, many carrying luggage, is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim that people in the clip are Americans, and fleeing Los Angeles due to the ongoing fire.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:

Running the viral video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, NewsMobile found it in a Facebook post from August 2024. The post mentioned that the crowd seen in the video was protesting against the Ukrainian government’s ban on the activities of the Orthodox Church, suggesting that the video might be related to Ukraine.
Additionally, a Ukrainian news report, dated August 25, 2024, carries photos and videos of the same event, stating that it was a religious pilgrimage to the Pochaiv Lavra Monastery in Ukraine’s Ternopil Oblast. According to the news, the pilgrimage began in Kamianets-Podilskyi and culminated at the monastery.
Additional photos and videos corroborating the pilgrimage can be found in other news reports, all confirming that the video is from Ukraine. Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show Americans fleeing Los Angeles due to the ongoing fire, is false.
