A video is making the rounds on social media, claiming to be the CCTV footage of the deadly Pulwama terror attack that took place on February 14, 2019, killing 40 CRPF jawans.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video, and found the claim to be false.
Putting the video keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, NewsMobile traced the video back to YouTube, uploaded on March 5, 2008. The timestamp on the video itself indicates that it was recorded on September 2, 2007, at 3:54 PM — more than a decade before the Pulwama attack.
The original video description states that the footage was received from a U.S. Army soldier and was meant to highlight the dangers soldiers face in war zones. Further research revealed that the explosion shown in the video took place in Baghdad, Iraq, where a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) was detonated outside Camp Taji.
NewsMobile could not independently verify the exact location. But it is confirmed that this video predates the Pulwama attack and has been shared with fictitious narratives.
