NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found it to be Misleading.
Running the extracted video keyframes through Reverse Image Search to verify the footage, the NM team found the same video online well before the AI-171 flight crash.
A post, dated May 09, 2025, on Instagram carried identical visuals and claimed that the video was from Pakistan.
We also found the same video uploaded on a YouTube channel, dated June 11, 2025, attributing it to Pakistan.
While NewsMobile could not independently verify the source or location of the video, one thing is clear — the video pre-dates the Ahmedabad crash and is unrelated to the incident.
So in conclusion, we can say that the video is misleading, and not linked to Air India crash in Ahmedabad.
