A video claiming to show Palestinians dancing in front of the Al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem after Iran’s April 13 strike against Israel is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim it to be true.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:
Iran enters direct military engagement against Israel… and Palestinians celebrate in front of the Al Aqsa Complex in Al Quds.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team traced an Instagram post on an unverified profile, dated April 5, 2024. Given that Iran attacked Israel on April 13, 2024, this video predates the attack.
Searching further, we came across the same video uploaded on the official Facebook page of GuercifZoom — a Moroccan independent e-newspaper, informing that Palestinians gathered in the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque to celebrate the last Friday of Ramadan.
The same video also had been published on the official YouTube channel of Al-Aqsa mosque on April 5, 2024, describing that a massive crowd gathered in the compound of the Mosque for prayers on the night of the last Friday of Ramadan.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show Palestinians celebrating in Al-Aqsa mosque after Iran’s strike on Israel, is false.
