FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found the claims to be false.
A Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes detects a YouTube channel — Bidit Sarma Vlogs — carrying the same video uploaded, dated August 28, 2025, mentioning that it was shot at “Beharbari Outpost”.
Upon verification, Beharbari Outpost is not a real police station but the title of a popular Assamese-language comedy television show based on fictional police characters in Guwahati.
Further review of the YouTube channel showed multiple behind-the-scenes clips from the show. The individuals seen in the viral video appear in several of these uploads. In one such video, two of the so-called “miscreants” can be seen reading from what appears to be a script, and a tripod used for filming is visible in the background.
Additional searches revealed that the same actors appeared in multiple episodes of “Beharbari Outpost” available on YouTube, confirming that the viral clip was filmed during the shooting of a comedy show, not an actual police operation.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show police officers disguised themselves as women to catch miscreants, is false.
