FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, and found it to be false.

Putting the viral video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, the NM team detected several reports featuring videos and pictures from the same incident. These reports can be seen here, here and here. As per these reports, the incident took place outside Santiago, capital of Chile, on June 20, 2024.

On closely analysing the video in question with the visual carried by these reports, we discovered stark similarities.

As per the reports, two people were killed and nine injured on June 20, 2024, when a passenger train in a test run by Chile’s state railway company (EFE) collided with a cargo train operated by private rail firm Fepasa.

Thus, we can conclusively say that the video in question about a train collision is from Chile, NOT India’s Vande Bharat train.
