FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video and found it to be Misleading.

Closely analysing the viral video, the NM team identified a Rajasthan fire department truck in the footage.

Running further the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, we identified a report by Dainik Bhaskar, dated May 9, 2025, confirming that the visuals were from a fire that broke out at a chemical factory in the RIICO area of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan.

The same incident was also covered by NDTV Rajasthan on its YouTube channel on May 8, 2025.

To verify the location, we geolocated the area shown in the viral video and confirmed that it matches the Hanumangarh site in Rajasthan, not Udhampur.

Finally, a tweet from the official PIB Fact Check handle, dated May 10, 2025, labelled the viral claim as fake. The tweet reads: “Udhampur Air Base remains operational.
A video aired by AIK News on live TV claimed that Pakistan had destroyed the Udhampur Air Base.#PIBFactCheck
This video shows a fire incident at a chemical factory in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. It’s unrelated to the current situation.”

Hence, the video of a fire incident in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, has gone viral falsely claiming that Pakistan destroyed the Udhampur Air Base.
