FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be MISLEADING.

Conducting a Reverse Image Search, our team traced a report by ABP Punjabi, dated February 4, 2024, featuring visuals similar to the viral video with a headline: “A big accident happened in Sangrur, Gas Cylinder washed in Bhakhra Canal”

ZEE News also reported the same incident, stating: “A vehicle loaded with cylinders belonging to Kaushal Gas Agency in Patra, which was on its way for delivery, fell into the Bhakra canal. After that, all the cylinders were flushed with water. The accident occurred when the driver Gurdit Singh Guri was on his way to distribute gas cylinders to his villages and camps as usual”.

Thus, we can conclusively say that a video showing a river filled with LPG cylinders after a truck accident is shared with misleading claims.
