With a relevant keyword search, the NM team identified a video uploaded on Facebook on June 11, with a caption: Bangladesh Cricket team supporters were expressing their disappointment after their batsman, Mahmudullah Riyad, was dismissed while attempting to hit a six.
Bangladesh lost a match against South Africa on June 10, just a day before the video was posted. In that game, Mahmudullah was caught off the penultimate delivery while attempting to hit a six, leading to Bangladesh’s loss by four runs.
We also observed that several of the same faces appeared in both videos. We also pointed out similarities in the street lights visible in the background of both videos. See below:
