FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

Doing a Reverse Image Search of the viral image, the NM team traced a tweet posted by Srinagar Police, dated August 23, 2023, carrying an image with a caption: “People at Lal Chowk Srinagar today witnessed Live coverage of Chandrayaan-3 Landing on the big screen at ‘lal chowk square’. @isro #Chandrayaan3”. The original picture shows people watching a live stream of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft’s landing on the moon’s surface.
