A Reverse Image Search of the viral picturs yielded no credible sources or news reports supporting the claim. Notably, Virat Kohli has not posted or acknowledged any such gift on his official social media handles.
A closer inspection of the pictures revealed several tell-tale signs of AI manipulation —unnatural facial expressions, inconsistent lighting, awkward texture blending in the background, and subtle distortions, particularly around Kohli’s face.
To further verify our findings, we ran the images through AI detection tools — Verifye and Hive Moderation — which confirmed the images to be digitally altered.
