A video, claiming to show a Muslim man being arrested by police for allegedly luring and marrying a Hindu girl, is extensively circulating on social media. Many users suggest that it is an example of ‘love jihad’ — a term often used by right-wing groups to claim that Muslim men are deliberately converting Hindu women through romantic relationships.
The video is shared on Facebook with a caption: ये विडियो वास्तविक है कम से कम उम्र का तो लिहाज किया होता… कैसे ऐसे धोखेबाजो के चुंगल मे फस जाती है लडकिया….बाजारू और चाय कोफी जैसे नशीले गरम खानपान के कारण लडृकियां मुल्लों और जाहिलों के चंगुल में फंस रही है

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be MISLEADING.
Performing a Reverse Image Search of the video keframes, NewsMobile found a Facebook page by Monty Deepak Sharma, featuring a number of staged videos. Sharma is identified as a television and broadcast artist. And a longer version of the viral video was also found on his page, revealing it to be part of a scripted sequence.
Another video posted on April 10 features the same individuals from the viral clip, further confirming that these are recurring characters in fictional content. One of Sharma’s videos explicitly includes a disclaimer stating that the content is a work of fiction created for entertainment purposes and not meant to reflect real events or offend any group.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the video in question is not a case of ‘love jihad’, but a fictional production meant for entertainment only.
