FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, and found it to be false.
We analysed the link shared in the viral post — https://m.day-tday.com.tr/fb/?ipl&fbclid=… — and found that it has redirected to another page featuring the Jio logo and an image of Mukesh Ambani. And a thorough check of the official websites of PhonePe (www.phonepe.com) and Jio (www.jio.com) revealed no such cashback offer.

Additionally, scanning the official social media handles (LinkedIn, Instagram) of PhonePe, NewsMobile found no announcements regarding any IPL-related cashback.
The NM team had previously debunked similar fraudulent schemes linked to Amazon, Flipkart, TATA Group, and Hermès. These scams typically bait users into clicking on malicious links with promises of lucrative rewards.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the viral PhonePe cashback offer is part of an ongoing scam.
