FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the picture, the NM team identified a news article in Telegraph India, dated May 11, 2021. The picture matches with the viral image, describing that the picture is of a special IAF plane carrying an oxygen tanker taken at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi.

Searching further, we found another report on India.com on May 12, 2021, with the same information. Along with the viral photo of the IAF aircraft, it also reads: “An Indian Air Force aircraft carrying oxygen cylinders to help fight against Covid-19 arrives at Birsa Munda International Airport, Ranchi, on 10th May, 2021.”

We could not find any credible source of information linking this image to Bangladesh or Sheikh Hasina. Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show IAF Special Aircraft at Tejgaon Airport in Bangladesh, is false.
